On Being the Token Librarian

Thursday, January 18th, 2018, I am on a panel titled Fake News in a Post-Truth Era with a journalist and a journalism professor at Imagine Nation Brewery*. This panel is organized by Humanities Montana and is partially funded by the Andrew P. Mellon Foundation. And wow am I excited. I’ll share some of my thoughts here post-panel.

It was a full house at Imagine Nation Brewing for Fake News in the Post-Truth Era!

*Montana’s only non-profit brewery!

Post-Panel

In lieu of my own response, I’ve posted an image below of my view from the panel and here is some coverage by the Missoulian: “Fake news gets real analysis at journalism panel”. Interesting that they call it a “journalism panel” in the byline… I guess my contributions were less remarkable than my fellow panelists. It should be noted that the editor of the Missoulian was one of my fellow panelists.
